■ Introducing World Mental Health Day
The objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues and to mobilize efforts to support mental health. In 1992, a non-profit organization called World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) designated October 10 as World Mental Health Day. This later gained support from the World Health Organization (WHO) and it was officially recognized as an international day. Today, events to raise awareness for mental health using the WFMH World Mental Health Day logo are held around the world.
